Das Cedar ist eine nette Erweiterung von Sony Ericssons umweltfreundlicher GreenHeart-Baureihe, die ordentliche Funktionalität und attraktives Äußeres zu einem günstigen Preis bietet. Schade ist nur, dass der nervige Webzugang und gelegentlich auftretende Probleme mit der Nutzung sozialer Netzwerke den positiven Gesamteindruck schmälern."

Fast scheint es, als wenn der Hersteller sich die Kritik aus den bisherigen GreenHeart-Testberichten von inside-handy.de zu Herzen genommen hat, da viele angesprochene Kritikpunkte der vorherigen Geräte ausgebessert wurden. Die ansprechende Optik wird ergänzt durch eine perfekte Verarbeitung und Haptik. Lediglich das Entfernen des Akkudeckels erwies sich als Geduldsprobe. Auf der Habenseite verbucht das Cedar weiterhin über eine sehr gute Sprachqualität und auch beim Empfang kann der Schwede punkten - leider auf Kosten auf eines hohen SAR-Wertes. Positiv zu erwähnen ist die Verwendung eines MicroUSB- und 3,5-Millimeter-Anschlusses. UMTS mit HSDPA-Unterstützung lässt das fehlende W-Lan vergessen. Nicht vollkommen überzeugen im Test konnte die Soundqualität des MP3-Players und auch die Kamera hat eher nur Schnappschussqualität.Für einen aktuellen Preis von knapp 70 Euro erhält man ein sehr gutes Einsteiger-Handys, welche fast keine Wünsche offen lässt.
